Modulation Index has performed measurements on several current-generation STL systems and FM exciters for peak control accuracy. The results of these measurements are shown on each respective page. Each system is rated by their ability to accurately reproduce aggressively processed signals, and is indicated by the number of "springs" at the bottom of each page. The greater the number of "springs" shown, the more "bounce and/or overshoot" the system has, thus poorer modulation control, reducing loudness and quality capability.
