Why does the blue star icon on the upper right of the player is enabled even when I already have a station in "Favorites"?

The stations in Favorites and in the player have different addresses/URLs even though both share the same name/descriptions. Some content providers have multiple streaming servers, or an address/URL could have been changed, expired, or retired.
